Following my OOTW from last week, here is another outfit that I wore to camouflage my extra kilos after the holiday ;)
In theory, I am trying to 'stay away from food' but I just spent a weekend in the Adelaide hills enjoying some wine. Then we went to Sydney to celebrate my in law's 50th wedding anniversary. So today IS the day I start with some brisk walks by the beach in the mornings and a more balanced diet. Wish me luck ;)
Now back to the outfit:
One thing I have seen with SO many women who complain about how their clothes create or accentuate a muffin top is that their underwear is not fitting well.
Make sure that your undies are loose and high enough to contain 'everything'. Before you put on your jeans or pants make sure you haven't created additional lines around your waist and stomach with your underwear.
I had to do this myself as these pants are an extra bit tight at the moment around my waist.
Once that was sorted I needed 'extra' help.
That's when I opted for a loose fitting top. The pattern on the pants already has so many colours and it was a matter of choosing only one of those for the top and one for the shoes.
As my focal point is low, I added a necklace to bring attention back to my face.
I am wearing: Top: Forever New, Pants: Colombia, Shoes: Nine West and Necklace: BCBGMaxazria
Remember I was attending a training and a mastermind with my mentor and coach and I REALLY wanted to show up as my most empowered and confident self. It was tricky but I made a decision and I practiced what I preach: I decide what I focus on! And I know how to make the most out of who I am and how I look.
I get sad seeing so many women put their lives on hold on waiting for the weight to drop, something on their bodies to change or waiting for some external circumstances to change before they begin to live their lives to the fullest.
Things like: "I am going to go for that promotion when my relationship with my husband improves", or "I will seek more opportunities when I feel better with my body". Or simply just feeling like they lack some confidence and they are not going for it.
The truth is that I have felt like that before too, but I have learned how to go for my goals without waiting for everything outside to be perfect or even waiting to feel 100% confident.
If you are looking for a kick to your confidence I want you to know that getting your image and personal brand aligned is going to help you, I would love to talk with you. Send me an email and let's start a conversation on how you can make your dreams a reality now! Can you believe we have just 3 months left of this year?
Excited to chat with you.
