When creating a work wardrobe, most women use black by default. If you are one of them you might think it is easier, but trust me adding colour is so easy when you wear a lot of black and it can totally transform the way you feel. And you still look professional!
I love combining black with colours. Personally I like black on my bottoms and colour close to my face. But you can choose whatever feels best for you.
I was presenting last week at Michael Page's Leadership series talking about the importance of developing your personal brand.
I wanted a professional but feminine look. I opted for my black straight legged pants and this purple top. And of course a statement necklace to make it feel more 'me'.
I love this top and it's unique style in the front. When buying tops I am always looking for styles that are not the usual buttoned up blouses. I love how the colour and style were different and it has definitely been a great addition to my wardrobe.
I have worn it with jeans, and even shorts during summer.
I love having versatile pieces that can be worn in many different ways and can be used both casually and as more dressed up outfits.
Your turn now! Go to your wardrobe and ask yourself these 2 questions:
1. Do my clothes and accessories feel like me? If not, let's start making sure they do ;)
2. Do I have clothes that are versatile and can be dressed up and down?
I am wearing: Blouse: COL, Pants: Saba, Necklace and Earrings: Mimco, Shoes: Brazilian brand.
*COL means I bought them in Colombia
