One of my top values in life is living with passion. It sounds obvious, like who wouldn't want that? Yet we all have our own interpretation of how that looks.
There was a time in my life where the answer wasn't that obvious. And as a result, my actions were not in alignment with the life I wanted to create.
One of the most powerful practices I have adopted and share with as many people as I can is checking the alignment of your values and your actions.
You would be surprised at how many times I see people realising they have been valuing 'things' because society or their family have influenced that decision.
It happened to me, I had my value list based on the expectation of my society and my family. It took me almost 30 years to get honest with myself to decide what was really valuable to me.
And it is only when you do that, that your life can start getting even better.
So today, I invite you to sit down for 10 minutes and make a list of your top 10 values.
Then look at all areas of your life: Business/career, fun and recreation, personal growth, romance, family and friends, healh, finances and phisical environment (Where you live, area, house etc..) Give yourself a score from 1-10 with how satisfied you are with each one.
Decide how you want each area to look like. What changes must happen?
What have you noticed that is important to you that you haven't been giving any attention to? What needs to be valued more in order for you to create the balance you desire?
Now do your top 10 values again. You might be surprised!
This simple yet powerful exercise was the catalyst for a big change in my life. And I have seen it happen many many times with my clients.
