I rarely wear flowery patterns because they are too soft for my 'dramatic' style personality.
It is so important to understand your style personality, it will save you so much time and money when shopping.
Even though this top is super feminine it captivated me with the open shoulders that added a bit of drama and the colours.
Wearing it with black pants and shoes was the obvious option but it will look very summery and fresh with white pants. In that case, silver shoes would be the way to go.
I also wore some long earrings to make the outfit feel more like 'me'.
I have spoken before about balancing femininity and credibility. This outfit is a great example of a feminine and soft look. The fact that my hair is wavy adds more softness to it as well.
I have bought tops before with flowers and have never worn them. So this is what I want you to remember from today's OOTW. Just because you like an item on the hanger or on a friend, doesn't mean you are going to wear it. You need to consider if the colour, style and personality of the garment feel 100% you.
Remember you are telling a story about who you are through your image and that story needs to be in full alignment with your essence.
I wore this outfit for a TV interview last week. But I have also worn it to attend meetings with female clients.
