My work should speak for itself.

When I met Clara she was very upset because she has been overlooked for a promotion...AGAIN!

She knew she was doing a great job, had been a long time with the same company yet she wasn't given the position she knew she deserved.

Have you trained your brain this week?

As an engineer and having a very logical brain, I love understanding the science and the 'how' behind everything. But I have also learned that understanding and even mastering our emotions is way more important than what we know intellectually and all the titles we hold.

When we develop our ability to strengthen our brain and increase our levels of self-awareness and as we do with our muscles, we have a higher chance to achieve the things we want.

Am I good enough?

Throughout my life, I always have had a battle with wondering if I am good enough.

Feeling out of whack?

It wasn't until I was 30 years old that I ever asked myself what is truly important to me.

I never questioned the way I was living my life or how I spent my time. I didn't even sit for a second to check if I was happy with how my personal and professional life was going.

Desperate for coffee too?

You wake up in the morning, grab your phone, check your email and social media. Drag yourself to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee or tea. Go back to your bedroom, get ready, prepare breakfast, go to work, have lunch, work a bit more, feel exhausted all day, drive back home or close for the day, prepare dinner, watch some tv, check your phone again, do a few more things around the house, then go to sleep.

Confidence comes and goes...

The constant second-guessing myself, wondering if I was good enough, the feeling of not fitting in, feeling invisible and unheard are all way too familiar feelings for me.

Yes, one of the biggest challenges in my life has been with my confidence.

a confession...

As painful as it is, I had to admit to myself that I felt like a complete failure in 2021. The last year was a very challenging one for me, especially emotionally.

My end of year ritual

We all know the end of the year is a great time to reflect on the year that was and set up goals for the year ahead.

When I was very young, my mum taught me this simple ritual and I have been doing it for many years.

BEing more, doing less

Growing up, I exhibited a very strong masculine energy - the energy that loves being in control and thrives on getting results. It’s all about efficiency and getting things done. My engineering career probably emphasized this part of me even more.
